Mackerel fishing is a must-do activity when visiting Lyme Regis. It’s an exciting, family-friendly activity that's suitable for all ages, from beginners to seasoned anglers, and you may even catch your dinner! It’s a great way to get out on the water and spend quality time together away from all the hustle and bustle of daily life.

Drifting around the bay will give you ample opportunity to take in the stunning coastal scenery whilst waiting for the mackerel to pull on your line. The skipper will be on hand to show you how it’s done, unhook your fish and even prep them, so they are barbecue ready.

We have everything you need for a fabulous experience; all equipment is provided and whatever you catch you can keep.

Mackerel fishing is great fun for the whole family, kids love it and newbies will be delighted with the sheer exhilaration that comes from catching your very first fish!

If you prefer not to fish, you are more than welcome to come along and just sit back and enjoy the views!

From Spring through until the end of October, we run one hour mackerel fishing trips throughout the day.  Trips also run during the winter months including school and bank holidays depending on weather and sea state. Check availability and book online or call us to reserve your place.

Trips depart from Victoria Pier, Lyme Regis harbour

All our boat trips leave from Victoria Pier, Lyme Regis harbour. Look for the Cobb, then walk out past Lyme Regis Marine Aquarium and the Fishing College until you arrive.
